We usually aim to start cutting our hay by the end of June into early July so we only have a few weeks to go! We are currently going through all balers, replacing worn parts and making adjustments where necessary before machine testing. It is essential our balers are maintained regardless of cost as breakdowns when we are in the middle of hay making season can mean we don't get a hay crop at all if the weather turns on us!
We have added another baler this year as year on year we are increasing the amount of bales we produce, in order to ensure we can supply all year round. Now all we need is for mother nature to be on our side and provide us lots of sun so we can make hay while the sun shines!
