Our hay bale harvest went reasonably trouble free this year. We had good yields along with some good sunny days so we were able to make hay while the sun shined!
Our wheat and barley straw bale harvest went equally as trouble free, Average yields across all cereal crops due to the 2018-19 growing season.
We had started to drill our wheat and barley crops for the 2019-20 growing season in early September before the rain started. Drilling progress has been severly limited during the second part of September and October has quite literally been a disaster with only a few suitable drilling days. At this rate we may end up drilling spring crops instead!
Let's hope the rain stops soon.
