As of today we have all our barley straw bales stacked in our barns for the 2016/2017 season. We are a little later than we would have hoped... this is partially due to the weather along with us baling more barley straw than ever before! Straw yields have been down considerably this year, a mainly wet first half of the year along with a lack of sunshine has been the main cause, but thankfully we increased our barley straw area last year to take into account possible low yields.
We have completed our hay baling for 2016 and 2017. We have been very very (very) lucky with the weather. Partly due to our skill... but mainly due to good luck! We have increased this years hay bale production and look forward to supplying customers old and new over the coming year!
We will be straight onto baling barley straw this week - fingers crossed the weather stays fine!
