We saw a few good days of hay making to be had last Wednesday until Sunday so decided to start round two of our hay bale production. We mowed on Wednesday 8 July and Thursday 9 July, spent the next few days tedding the hay and began baling Saturday afternoon until the dew came in on Saturday night. We got some good sun midday onwards on Sunday. With rain forecast by 6am Monday morning we decided to forge ahead and brought the last load into to shed on Monday morning at 615am having gone through the night although the rain didn't arrive until 1030am on Monday!
We have completed our first round of hay making and got all the bales under cover before the thunder storms! just! It was a late night/early morning team effort we got the last trailer load under cover just before 3am as the lightening started!
We started mowing last Sunday and all grass was on the ground by Tuesday afternoon. Tedding several times before starting to bale on Thursday and a strong effort was shown by all as all four conventional balers and two round balers worked flat out on Friday as the forecast was for thunder storms early Saturday morning! Thankfully we managed to beat the weather... just!
